I’d like to direct you to two very good vocal resources that include speech level singing exercises.
Both these singing resources will help you to develop an excellent singing voice that has:
The following two resources contain excellent exercises that will balance your voice. This happens because they perform functions such as balancing the air pressure you send to your vocal chords, balancing your resonance, as well as coordinating and training your vocal chords so they are advanced and flexible.
The muscles that coordinate your vocal chords are probably the most important muscles in the singing process. And funnily enough, these are the most underdeveloped muscles in most singers! The majority of singers rely on “squeezing” their vocal chords together with their swallowing muscles.
This is very inefficient and causes great strain. If you’ve ever wound up with a sore throat after a singing session, you were likely using this bad technique. If this is true for you though, don’t worry because in the following two resources you will learn to “release” your voice from these inefficient muscles, and replace it with a voice that leverages the full potential of the most efficient singing processes.
Once you learn to sing in this way, things that were once difficult like hitting sky scraping notes and sustaining them, as well as singing for hours in a row, will become second nature and easy.
Well, let’s get into it!
The first resource is a free set of singing videos by singing instructor Roger Burnley. These lessons are a great introduction to the speech level singing method, and gives you the tools to get off to a flying start.
In these lessons you will learn many things such as how to breathe for singing, how to access your upper vocal registers, and much more.

The second resource is the vocal training that had the greatest impact on my singing career.
It’s a program that incorporates many of the speech level singing exercises and values, and is presented in a way that singers can really take their singing to a new level.
Some of the exercises in this program are powerful. One of them allowed me to experience a full octave increase in vocal range within the first session of practicing it! There are also exercises that teach you how to develop an effortless vibrato, how to sing with sweet tone throughout your entire range, and much more.
It should be noted that this course is an “unofficial” set of speech level singing exercises. To my understanding, the creator of the program was once a certified speech level singing instructor, but since has gone in his own direction.
This singing resource in my opinion is a must for singers of any level. Once you pass through this program you will have skills that you haven’t yet even touched on. You will be introduced to aspects of your voice that you never knew existed. It’s simply exciting stuff!
You can learn more about this vocal resource by clicking here.
Well, I hope you investigate the vocal resources I have shared with you in this article. Speech level singing exercises are a highly effective way of developing a tremendous singing voice, so practice them often and enjoy watching your vocal limitations fade into the distance!
Have fun!
