How I sang for the first time

by Poppy
(England)

I have only been singing properly for a few months, but I sang little nursery rhymes when I was 4 but the years after that I got more serious so a few months after that I was in a choir as a soprano soloist and and I could never hit the top note so I thought to myself there is nobody in this room...

I took a deep breath and I actually reached the top note and I can do it without struggling anytime anywhere anyplace I want.

My tip is you should never ever say to your self you cant do it or you will never succeed but if you give yourself courage and just imagine if you are scared of crowds that you are in a utopia in a nice quiet place and imagine you can reach those top notes

If you love crowds imagine that your in front of the world and you sang your hardest song absolutely correctly and they want you to sing for them again and again and again.

Never tell yourself you can't do it
by: Anonymous

That is so true. If you doubt yourself just a teeny bit, it will already mess you up just like that. It's that simple. Because when you doubt yourself, your air automatically drops and you will sound like weak and most likely, when you don't have enough air, you go flat or out of pitch. I can see you must be a natural singer. Lucky you!
